Due to Governor Wolf’s mandated school closing and to best ensure the health, welfare, and safety of Board members, District employees, and the public, Montessori Regional Charter School will hold its May Board meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 6 p.m. conducted via teleconference. Those members of the public who would like to offer public comment at the meeting must contact the Board Recorder via email at email@example.com by Noon on Thursday, May 28th. Please include your name; either your email address (if you will be logging into the meeting on a computer or other device) or your phone number (if you will be dialing into the meeting by phone); and the topic of your comments. Please include only this information in your communication to the Board Recorder. During the comment period, only those who have contacted the Board Recorder and provided the necessary information will be called upon and unmuted to participate in public comment.
Regularly scheduled board meetings are generally held on a Thursday. All public meetings take place at 6:00 PM at 2549 W. 8th St.

As a public charter school, we welcome comments from our parents and community. All individuals wishing to participate in a public Board meeting shall register their intent with the MRCS administrative secretary five (5) days in advance of the meeting and shall include the name and address of the participant, topic to be addressed and group affiliation, if applicable. Prior to speaking at the meeting, participant shall complete and submit a speaker’s form to the Board President. Participants must be recognized by the presiding officer and must preface their comments by an announcement of their name and group affiliation, if applicable. Each statement made by a participant shall be limited to five (5) minutes duration. No participant may speak more than once on the same topic, unless all others who wish to speak on that topic have been heard.
The presiding officer: 1. Shall permit citizen members of the audience to come to the podium, without prior notice, for a limit of three (3) minutes immediately following the formal (5 minutes) speakers, providing the total speaker time limited to 30 minutes, has not elapsed. Informal (3 minutes) speakers may not use specialized equipment to address the Board. 2. May interrupt or terminate a participant's statement when the statement is too lengthy, personally directed, abusive, obscene, or irrelevant. 3. May request any individual to leave the meeting when that person does not observe reasonable decorum.
