The Montessori Regional Charter School works with the local school districts to provide bus transportation for students to and from school. As required by the Pennsylvania Charter School law, each local school district is responsible for the transportation of students residing in their district to and from Montessori Regional Charter School on days when the charter school is in session. Your local school district will still provide transportation on days when MRCS is in session and the local school district is closed.

MRCS students who live in townships whose borders are within 10 miles (driving distance) from the school property are eligible for bus transportation to and from school for scheduled school hours. Montessori Regional Charter School coordinates with district transportation departments regarding student lists, the school calendar and hours of operation.  The local home school district will assign the student bus route and time to and from one address only.  The address must be within the boundaries of the home school district.

Further, students are expected to comply with all safety rules and regulations set forth by the transportation service. Students who are unable or unwilling to comply with rules may be denied transportation services. Please coordinate with the district regarding any busing questions.

All changes of address in Millcreek Township will need to be processed directly through Millcreek Township School District Central Registration office by the parents.  If the children are not listed appropriately in our Infinite Campus system, they will not be re-routed.  It is the same procedure we require for our students and it is the only safeguard we have in making certain that we have complete information on Millcreek Township students – public or charter.
