School Calendar Change

Good Afternoon Montessori Families:

We are calling today with an important message about the school calendar.

As you all know, last Sunday evening a tornado touched down on our property causing damage to the exterior and shutting down our utilities for several days making it necessary to call off school.

The good news is that there was no interior damage and we are back up and fully operational. Unfortunately,  with our current school calendar, as we enter the winter season, we have already used our existing snow days for the year.  This means if we have to use another snow day we will have to extend our school year into the third week of June. In discussions with our families and our staff this week, we think there is a better option.

Please mark your calendar as follows:  There WILL BE SCHOOL on Wednesday, November 22nd - the day before Thanksgiving.  THIS WILL BE A EARLY DISMISSAL DAY

Students at South Campus will be dismissed at 1:00 pm and students at North campus will be dismissed at 12:45 pm  All buses will be running on the early dismissal schedule which will be published on our website next week.

In addition, WE WILL HAVE SCHOOL on Friday, February 16th on an early dismissal schedule.
If we have to use an additional snow day, we will use the days designated on the current calendar.

Finally, we want to express our gratitude to all those families who sent encouraging emails and calls and offered to help during the aftermath of the tornado.  We are so grateful to our Montessori community for their unwavering dedication and support of our school.

Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing all the students return on Monday.
