Creating
a Love of Learning for a Lifetime
The
Montessori Regional Charter School is a Kindergarten through sixth grade, public elementary school providing a Montessori based education to children throughout the Erie region.
The school has a rich history of providing quality education that spans over 20 years. This education was reserved for children of privilege until 2000 when the school's highly trained Montessori faculty and the Board of Directors found a way, through the new PA charter school laws, to broaden the reach of the Montessori philosophy and offer this unique, hands on and progressive education as a public charter school.
The 2004-2005 school year was the first year of operation for MRCS as a tuition free public school. In just a few years the school has grown to over 170 students and will continue to expand over the next several years. Led by a highly qualified Board of Trustees and guided by a faculty that hold both Pennsylvania teaching credentials and additional rigorous Montessori training, the school is committed to the highest quality academic preparation that the Erie region has to offer.
