About the Montessori Regional Charter School

A Tuition-Free Public Charter School

The Montessori Regional Charter School, located in Erie County, is proud to provide a Montessori education to families in the North Western Pennsylvania Region. Although 2004 - 2005 was the inaugural year of the Charter School, the school is rooted in a rich tradition of Montessori education spanning over 25 years.

Montessori is an educational philosophy and method developed by Maria Montessori more than a century ago. The scientific discoveries she made created far-reaching lessons of observation, understanding and wisdom that had a profound influence on the education of children the world over.
